1 image is a vector, 1 isn't. what happened is i just did it backwards, but then you could see through (transparent) even though i filled it with black. i have to re do that whole area with my paint brush :(
TheRealGreenVirus :
you stated that "but then you could see through (transparent) even though i filled it with black. " OK, to sovle the transparentcy you need to fill the storke (the BOX we sometime put the lline through to not give an object/line an outline) as well as the main colour to black for the mask to work correctly and give the effect needed, hope it helps

Dude, 2 minutes is just not enough time to get through the whole tutorial. It's not possible. They do know how to make them, just that it won't be enough to explain everything you need to know, then you'd be lost.
Outlawguy89 :
You can but photoshop is more for photo editing not for logos, see a logo should be used for more than just web, as you will need to resize it, and photoshop is pixels and doesnt resize too well, unless you are just on web but still I would advise useing illy

U r doin a great job in givin yo time in uploading yo videos. Most of these designers are stingy 2 giv away their ideas. But you are willing 2 giv yo tutorials for free. There is a saying, "A great master will teach and will receive more. But, a self-fish person will hide his skills and come out with nothing. He will rot with his skills. But you BWOARK are on your way to the greatest path to be.
Airgeek11 :
pretty cool dude. I'm making logos in my graphic design class. Have any cool ideas for black and white logos? I know there's a lot of sweet stuff to do with color but black and white is hard to work with. What screen capture program are you using to capture your vids?
Claighface :
That is the transparency palette. Go Window> Transparency to open that. It may already be open, the default location is grouped with the gradient and stroke palette, just click the "Transparency" Tab.
Evernix1 :
At 9:09 the window that appears is the color picker, you can get that by double clicking the fill color thumbnail near the bottom of the tools palette. Sorry about not getting your question! Thanks for the friendly BUMP! claighface :D
