Creating 3D Falloff Preset Using Adobe After Effects
In This Tutorial We Will Learn Very Interesting Tutorial Called 3D Falloff. What We Going To Do Is Put Layers In 3D Space And Have Them Fade Away Into Distance. So In This Example We Have Red Background And Our Layers In The Background Are Sorted Away Red And As We Approaches To The Background They Become Clear. Make Sure To Download The Project From The Website. So Let’s Get Started.
Steps To Follow:
1. Open The After Effects And Then Create A New Composition Set The Preset To Wide Screen Square Pixels And Set The 24 Frames Per Second And 400 Frames Long And Click O.k.
2. Now From The Footage Folder Select The Plant.png File And Drag It To The Screen.
3. Now From Layer Menu Click On Pre-compose And Select All Attributes To The Comp And Click O.k.
4. To Open The Comp Layer Double Click On It By Holding Alt Key From Your Keyboard.
5. Now Add A Curve Adjustment Layer To Make It Darker. Also Add Tint Effect To Desaturated It.
6. Now Open The Transparency And Use Pen Tool To Make Sharp Edges.
7. Now Create A Solid Layer And Click O.k. Now Go To Effect Menu And Choose Generate Then Click On Ramp. Now Set It To Radial. Change The Black Color To Red And White To Black.
8. Now Create A New Camera And Set It To 20mm And Click O.k. Now Add A New Adjustment Layer And Rename It Falloff.
9. Now Apply Falloff Preset And Drag It On To The Adjustment Layer.
10. Now Turn The Plant Layer To 3D Layer And Put On It The Other Preset.
11. Now Set The Fade Out Rate, Color, Distance From Camera And Other Things In The Preset And You’ll Have This Falloff Effect.

Naw. xD It's something to kind of keep people from going "lolwut -dead from boredom-". Anyway, thanks for this tutorial, I've been trying to find one for a while. <<; And none of them really seemed to make any sense since they had like, no voice.
Cally :
can you tell me, what recorder were you using because i see all tuts for after effects using that same program
Micheal :
I have the Riot Pack Plug-in. Where would I put it in my AE Folder. Also, I do not have After Effects installed on my harddrive because of a download :) Where would I put it?
Zoe Mehville :
I recomend using bridge that it will be easier, faster and more convieniet. However if you wish to import it all at once just right click on project area (far left center) click "Import Multiple Files..." and import all you want or simply put in the folder.
Comment Joseph :
i like Adobe After Effect for its cool presets that make the project lot more easy and we can make the effect in just few time. the 3D falloff preset is really very useful preset for making intro animations.
